A LITTLE TODAY, REVISIT LATER

A 10-minute times tables practice plan

Use ten minutes as a flexible space in the day. Warm up, explore a fact, try a short sheet, then note what to revisit. Slow down, pause or finish early when that fits the learner.

A flexible 2 + 3 + 3 + 2 routine

  1. About 2 minutes: familiar facts. Say a few facts already known. Ask what the factors mean.
  2. About 3 minutes: explore. Choose one or two target facts. Draw equal groups or use a known fact: 7 × 8 = 5 × 8 + 2 × 8 = 56.
  3. About 3 minutes: a short sheet. Try a short sheet from the untimed practice generator. The time is a guide for the session, not a deadline to answer them.
  4. About 2 minutes: check and record. Count independently correct answers out of attempts, note any hints, and choose the next practice date.

This is an adjustable planning suggestion, not a tested learning dose or a promise to master a table in a week.

Plan a week

On Monday, find a small starting set and note which answers need support. From Tuesday to Thursday, revisit those facts and bring back a few earlier facts. Use the full worksheet generator for two short sets or write the extra facts by hand when you want a particular mix.

On Friday, try a fresh order without hints, then compare explanations and independent answers with earlier sessions. Keep working on the same facts if they still need support.

Read the record carefully

Write “4 / 6” only if four of six attempted answers were independently correct. Record chart use, drawing or a spoken hint in the next column. A completion tick records a session, not mastery or long-term recall.

Return to an earlier fact after a gap and ask for it independently. The record helps you choose the next session; it does not calculate a score or select questions automatically.
